1.  Introduction : Describe the scenario of the project

April is  ‘Batik Fest’ month and you have been offered to open a booth for a promotion campaign by the Ministry of Arts and Culture to promote Malaysian Batik products. You have asked to design a brochure about Malaysian Batik to be highlight on the Ministry of Arts and Culture web quest in April.




2.  
Task : Describe the task of the students to carry out
     
  • ·         You will design a brochure using the resources both online and offline on types of batik
      products (hand drawn and prints)

  • ·         Provide details of at least 2 new discoveries on using different techniques of producing
       the batik.              

                                       Batik Canting - Hand Painted
                                      Batik Block -  Printed / Silk Screen
  • ·         Add details of places to visit to obtain the promotion booth and the actual shop to get the products.
  • ·         You will present your brochure during the ‘Batik Fest’ on Malaysian Batik products.
  • ·         Evaluate your work using the brochure evaluation tools.

4. Process : Explain the process step by step

-          Select a brochures template
-          Select 2 types of batik producing technique (hand drawn and block printing)
-          Use online, books, and non-prints resources to find the information needed to complete the brochures.
-          Complete the brochures with text and pictures.
-          Be sure to include all of the information the readers will need
-          Use brochures evaluation tool to guide your brochures design and information.
-          Present your brochures during ‘Batik Fest’ exhibition.

5. Evaluation : Use the brochure evaluation tool to evaluate the brochure. This same evaluation tool will be used by the teacher to evaluate your brochures
